"Earthy" | OOTD X Distefano Shop

This was the look I wore to our event "Bloggers Get Together" at Bistro Doce21. I wanted to do something a bit different then I tend to do, by playing a bit more with the colors. I usually stay in the neutral zone when it comes to color, and really in general, but I wanted to be just slightly atypical, still keeping my line of style. For this look I once again partnered up with Distefano Shop. Wearing a high waisted, olive green fitted pant, and a grey, simple T'. To cover up, I added an "oversized' blazer, in a sort of "sand stone" - beige tone, and a pair of suede, brown shoes to tie it all together. A bit more formal, yet still casual and modern. Comfortable, classy and youthful, this was the perfect outfit for the evening.

Bloggers Get Together X Bistro Doce21

Hello sappers! Hope you all are doing great, sending you positive energy and good vibes! Thanks for stopping by! Im taking a small detour on the Estilo Moda posts to share this cool "get together" with you all. We are not fully stepping away from the Estilo Moda conversation, as this event took place on that same week, so this only a hiatus, but a most significant one, that I've been meaning to share with you for quite a while. Thanks to Bistro Doce21 and Pedro Lezama, a few bloggers and me got to get together and share a cool afternoon at this amazing bistro learning about coffee culture and relaxing a bit before the shows. Nicole Corrales, Pedro Lezama, Paola Mazariegos, Paola Andino Pedro Lezama, a professional barista, gave us a full lesson on coffee culture and thought us a bit about roasting and filtering techniques, he gave us a very well curated version of all the basics and musts about coffee and what we should look for in a good cup of coffe

"A Dream In Malaysia" By Miguel Chong | Estilo Moda '17, Day 1

And what a dream it was...  "A Dream In Malaysia", is renown Honduran designer: Miguel Chong, Latest collection. Chong, who recently traveled to the asian country the collection is inspired by, Malaysia; to represent Honduras at an International Fashion Show, no doubt, wasted no time whilst on his trip; like he mentioned on a personal note on his social media to his close friend and Estilo magazine's editor in chief: Blanca Bendeck; this trip was "a dream come true" for the designer and gladly we all got to live his dream for a few minutes on the runway show.

"Disco Glam" By Enrollarte | Estilo Moda '17, Day 1

Last year, Enrollarte gave us a bright a colorful collection, a collection full of beautiful silky smooth printed fabrics; this year the collection by the designer trio was a bit less technicolor, yet still very glamorous and with their classic and notorious summer vibe. Enrollarte is distinguished by their "summer" designs, while they kept that same line of design that makes the brand what it is, this year, they gave the audience a pleasant surprise. Taking the 80's glam as an inspiration, the designers made this vibrant collection, were: gold, silver and white were the stars of the show.

"Lupe" by Jerry Carcamo | Estilo Moda '17, Day 1

Jerry Carcamo was the second show during day one of "Estilo Moda" '17. This collection, titled by the designer as: "Lupe", was as I see it, the reinvention of the conventional clothing. With both asymmetrical and symmetrical and oval cuts and shapes and drapery, Carcamo's collection was not one to be missed, the minimal approach from the tailoring, fit and cuts was perfectly contrasted with printed and plush - terrycloth fabrics and the use non conventional fabrics, like neoprene.

#OOTD │Look 1, Day 1 Estilo Moda '17 X Distefano Shop

For the first day of "Estilo Moda"  '17, I once again partnered up with Distefano Shop. This time I wanted to fully embrace the brand's campaign concept, and apply it to my sense of style. Although still very simple and minimal, like I usually dress, this look was a bit more of a "step out of my comfort zone", I played a little more then usual with details and elements then what I normally do with my outfits.

"My Sweet Darkness" by Morena Perpetua | Estilo Moda '17 Day 1

Hello Sappers! we meet again, this time I have a lot coming your way. This past few days have been very cramped and I hadn't had the time to publish anything on the blog, but I'm catching up, and I really do have lots to tell you about. First and foremost, of course, we'll talk about "Estilo Moda"'17. Estilo Moda '17 took place this past October, two days, where the best of the Honduran fashion was showcased in all it's magnificent splendor. Hosted by "Estilo" Magazine at the "Honduras Maya" Hotel convention center and produced by "Crea Moda", Estilo Moda was a huge success from beginning to end. There is a lot to cover, so I decided to do individual posts about every collection showcased during "Estilo Moda" '17.  This year was the second edition of "Estilo Moda" and the expectations were high, and on every turn, every expectation was surpassed. The organisation was in charge of "Crea

Custo Barcelona | Fashion Week Honduras '17 #BCFWH17

Every year, during Fashion Week Honduras, there is a special guest, an international designer that usually closes up the entire event. Last Year we got to meet the unique: Agatha Ruiz De La Prada. The bubbly, colourful designer, who dashed us with her vibrant and graphic designs. This year we got another representative from Spain, as you may have guessed by now by the tittle of this post, I am talking of course, about the one and only: "Custo Barcelona" His birth name: Custodio Dalmau Salmon, AKA "Custo Barcelona" as his now global brand goes by, originated in Barcelona, Spain, after a 2 year, self discovery trip around the world with his brother David. Originally from Lleida, Spain, his career of choice was actually architecture, it was only after this journey that the designer started his fashion line as a complete amateur, without any background in fashion or design, only to grow to be one of the most acclaimed designers worldwide.

Mary Ann Kafati | Fashion Week Honduras '17 #BCFWH17

Kafati took us on a a glamorous, sophisticated, elegant show. Volume, ruffles, comfort fitted garments and elongated details in tailoring, make Kafati's collection a must on every fashionista wardrobe and a statement on the Honduran fashion archives.

"Oversized Is The New Black" | Look 3, Day 3 | Fashion Week Honduras '17

"Oversized" has ruled the runways for the past few seasons in all the major design houses, and so has it "catched" over the street style over the world. For the third and final look for Fashion Week Honduras '17, I decided to put this trend to work (as I do must of the time). As I have expressed before, this combination of oversized elements and more fitted garments, has always been a "must" for me, and the fact that it is now a mayor trend is simply a plus.

Fashion Week Honduras Day 3 #BCFWH17

Every beginning must meet and end sooner or later, and on Friday, September 29th, Fashion Week Honduras '17 meet it's conclusion. This, the most awaited day of all days, brought the finishing climax to this 10th year anniversary edition of BCFWH. On this very day, the audience got captivated by the intricate and colourful designs of non other then international designer "Custo Barcelona". His collection however, I'll be posting in a separate post as it is quite long, the designer had around 77 pieces to showcase, so, be on the lookout for that post. In the mean time the is plenty to review from this the third and final day. The "epilogue" day brought many interesting proposals from local designers like Mary Ann Kafati, Marie Bendeck and the now well known: Tirso Rubio, who opened up the show with his collection "El Color Del Silencio"

Look 2, Day 2 x Distefano Shop | Fashion Week Honduras '17 #BCFWH17

For the second day of Fashion Week Honduras '17, I partnered up with Distefano Shop and came up with look. A relaxed look with a statement jacket from their latest collection to put together and over all "clean" minimal outfit.

Lawin Paz | Fashion Week Honduras '17 #BCFWH17

For the closure of Fashion Week honduras '17, Day two, local designer: Lawin Paz, gave a audience a peek into his personal life. "Villa Xerez" was the tittle for this, his latest collection. The name makes reference to a place from his childhood in his beloved place of origin "Choluteca", a place in the southern part of Honduras.

Fashion Week Honduras Day 2 #BCFWH17

The first day of Fashion Week Honduras '17 started off with a bang!, and day two was only the continuation of the pyrotechnics. On Thursday September 28th, the shows kept going with great steadiness. The expectations were high and the reception welcoming. This second day was a kaleidoscopical array of fashion, passing on from one designer to the other. There were to segments for this day, one in the afternoon and the main event in the evening.  Let's take a look!

Aftermath Day 1 #BCFWH17

After every fashion show there is always (or almost always) a cocktail party, time to let loose and get some socialising going on. Tuesday, the very first day of Fashion Week Honduras, was no exception to this "rule". After the shows everyone gets to circle around, drink or appetiser in hand (or not) and mingle. Get to know the designers, the models and some other cool peeps. Nicole Corrales, Jerry Carcamo Here's a little photo gallery of this night for your "amusement":

LOTW : Weekend Vibes

During this season, it's always best to be prepared. When it comes to the weather, coming up with an outfit can be quite eventful, since the last keeps changing rapidly and unannounced, but do not stress peeps, a good outfit is all in the comfort and there's nothing a blazer can't fix for you.

#TBT Behind The Scenes : Estilo Moda 2016

Hello sappers! hope everyone is having a joyous week so far. Sending positive energy and good vibes your way as always! It's been a long time coming for this post, since this event happened last year as you can see from the tittle, or remember from the posts from last year about "Estilo Moda", however it's better late then never, right?  Last year's posts gave you an inside look from the runway and the event itself. Today I bring you a BTS look from the preparation of the models and a few cool beauty shots from backstage. Here it is then, without any further a do, a exclusive, backstage, all access, behind the scenes look at "Estilo Moda" 2016

LOTW : Summer Casual

One of my favourite things to wear are chinos and a light knitted cotton blend sweater. Like the tittle suggests it's a very casual look, but more business casual then just simply casual, if you know what I mean. This is a perfect look for a summer night out in town, it gives you the comfort and loose fit, the summer season requires, but also allows you to stay fashionable and trendy. Although this trend or style is more likely seen in european countries, (this I mention because I live in a tropical country) it still applies and will work if you choose the perfect fabrics.  Sweater: Zara Chinos: Pull & Bear Loafers: Hush Puppies The chinos are perfect if like me you love that kind of cut both in the top part and the bottom part of the pants, but also it gives you extra room for your hands (like pictured), if like me you also don't know what to do with them sometimes, so you simply put them in your pockets. The sweater is perfect too, because it's ligh

"Guanaja, El Alma En 55km" Art Expo

Hello sappers! Hope everyone is doing great, sending you all good vibes and positive energy as always. This past Wednesday, May 31st,  to close the month of may with a flourish, I attended the art exposition "Guanaja, El Alma En 55Km" by Nora Buchanan at "Bistro Doce21". A collective series of colorful abstract paintings inspired by the island that gave the collection it's tittle: "Guanaja"

LOTW : Summer Vibes

A fun and casual look to match your summer vibes. Get your shades on, grab your fedoras a pair of sneakers and be out the door. Graphic shirts with tropical prints are the it element this summer, go figure right?!, it's just like that phrase from "The Devil Wears Prada": "Florals... for spring, Groundbreaking... anyhow it's what it is and truth be told this stylish prints are a must, it's not really flashy yet very stylish and casual, if you, like me, prefer simple things and are not sure if the risk worth the taking, when choosing for the right print, pick something the goes with neutral tones, preferably something not to specific, like a fruit or some sort of animal, choose rather something abstract, like leafs or something of the kind, also go for things that are only outlines rather then full filled figure, it will make it easier one the eye, and you'll feels less awkward in it. Caquis are the perfect match for almost everything and it will g

Dolce & Gabbana Millenials

Dolce & Gabbana has been betting on the "new kids"for a few seasons now, but this year they decided to go all out, embracing the "Millennial Culture". Domenico and Stefano got some of the most influential faces from all over the internet and the globe.  Many new comer models, that already hold a branded name such as Cindy Crawford's son, Presly Gerber & his friend Neels Visser and the worldwide sensation Lucky Smith, but also social media stars such as Cameron Dallas who actually opened up the show, the caribbean king, Christian Bendek and Carlo Sestini, but it doesn't stop there, bloggers and influencers also walked for the brand names such as, Romin Costa, Marcel Floruss and Pelayo Diaz. Youtubers also held the spotlight, Marcus Butler and Jim Chapman where also part of the show. Enough about names, now that that you probably identified some if not all of this names, lets get to the actual fashion. Cameron Dallas

Oscar's 2017 Red Carpet

T he Oscar's, the night were the biggest movie stars from all over the globe gather to soak in each others awesomeness (yes that was a Mean Girls reference right there) a night to celebrate film and entertainment in it's most grand and glamorous way. Not only does the Academy, award the most prestigious recognition to many actors and actresses for their portrayals but also to the creators and creatives and the people behind the greatest films of the year, but also, there is fashion, of course, in what I like to call one of the biggest runways shows of the year. This night we get to see stunning master pieces from mayor designers, and the most grand scale of Hollywood Glam.

LCM 2017

L ondon Men Collections this year brought in a kaleidoscopic scenario for the upcoming season. The empire shows why they hold crown, several designers showcased their collections in this much anticipated Fashion Week dedicated to Menswear, were we saw an exquisite showdown of soberness and minimalism that fit the modern men. Stylish, Sharp and classic, most of the designers bet for the minimal approach and simple cuts for a more sharp and trendy overall look. Oliver Spencer   Mackintosh   Joseph
