Tropical City by GnR x Jeyson Garcia

Quinchon (Kings) by Legan

Givenchy Haute Couture Fall 18-19

Change is good. The decision to rename the house´s creative director was a definitely a good one. Now Lead by Clare Waight Keller, the worldwide famous design house makes a fenomenal comeback ( not that it ever went away, but that´s how it feels) to the runway with this minimal yet intricate and beautifully tailored collection. Cest simplement merveilleux! This collection was simply marvelous. Stunning, ethereal pieces walked down a beautiful mirrored runway in the a Parisian palace garden. Keller, took a retrospective look into the house´s archives and come up with this beautifully executed collection. I personally enjoyed most the minimal approach of it all, it was quite mesmerizing and refreshing to see this minimal yet eye catching pieces walk down a couture show. Were we usually see pompous displays of tailoring, Keller gave us an array of mixtures that simply took my breath away. The minimal tailoring mixed with intricate embroidery and appliqués details were definit

Versace Menswear SS´19 | Milan Fashion Week

This Versace runway show was too good to only show pictures of it, so I decided to do something different and show you the video instead, so here it is, get ready for the best 12 minutes of your day. Donatella sure knows how to put on a show, year after year, season after season, we see one great show after the other, one magnificent collection after the other, and this year was of course no exception. A trend setter and visionary, Versace, puts together yet another remarkable collection, one filled with color, sparkle, and lots of style. The show was great from start to finish, the music was up beat and you couldn't help but feel the beat and kinda want to step into that runway yourself. The models walked one right after the other in a continuos kaleidoscopical display. Starting from grey, black and white, the designer takes you literally in a progression from the previous season with long, oversized coats paired with baggy, trendy jeans, and beautiful printed Versace shir

London Fashion Week Mens SS ´19

Ben Sherman The designer showcased a collection filled with comfort and sports inspired tailoring. This collection was the perfect match between current trends like: stripes and checkered fabrics and some retro and sports wear inspired fits. The clothes were perfectly fitted, classic tailoring with a modernized approach. The collection was very minimal and colorful in its own accord, some slightly tropical prints were included as it slowly evolved into a more neutral zone of colors. The tailoring was classical and minimalistic, some slightly oversized bomber jackets were included as well as some sports and bowling bags and backpacks. Modern and youthful, this collection is perfect for the modern men, a man that takes comfort in classics, yet likes a bit a of color and playfulness when it comes to clothing.  Daniel W. Fletcher Avant garde meets comfort. Fletcher presented this astonishing collection, which is the perfect combination of creativity and boldness wit

Yves Saint Laurent SS ´19 Menswear

The fashion industry is taking a turn, and a turn for the best I think, as the brands are now stepping out of the scheduled itineraries of  ¨fashion week¨ and showcasing their collections on their on time.  Alexander Wang recently did this and YSL did it as well, and although it was closer to the London Fashion Week Men´s, and sort of the kickstart event, it is still something that I wanted to highlight, as I think this will lead many brands to do the same and brake patterns.  On to the good stuff now. Anthony Vaccarello, YSL´s house director kickstarted this season with a bang!.

Oscar De La Renta | Fall 2018 RTW

¨Enchanted Forest¨ is the latest collection from ODLR, a Fall, Ready to Wear (RTW) collection under the creative vision of the house´s new directors: Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia. With this, their third runway takeover under their creative orchestration, they show their capacity to lead this household brand in the right direction for the modern and eclectic fashionista.  Simple and familiar silhouettes alongside classic cuts, yet very rich in texture and delicately embroidered fabrics and floral prints inspired by the Elizabethan era tapestries, this collection abides by the classic and flattering shapes the ODLR house has been know for, yet utilizing modern trends and design techniques that appeal to the modern and more youthful profile the duo is luring into the brand´scope.

#OOTD | Ecojoyería

As many of you may know from my social media, not too long ago I partnered up with Honduran jewelry brand: ¨Ecojoyería¨. I was asked to be the ambassador and image for the brand´s new mens collection, which is complete an utter pleasure and honor. This look is a very basic look, for this crazy winter-ish weather in which I feature the versatile ¨pin¨ from the mentioned collection. This pin can be used on your tie, on the lapel of your jacket or coat, (like so) or on your suits pocket, a very versatile piece indeed. This piece like all others, is handmade made by this amazing designer with eco-friendly, sustainable, precious and semi precious metals, a perfect mixture that combines lightness, and environmental consciousness, and stunning pieces for sure.

Steffania whom is the head of the recently opened Fashion Design career in UNITEC, a prestigious private university in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, surprised the audience with her well though collection, work worthy of praise. This colorful and unique collection took the audience through Steffania´s Kaleidoscopic point of view.

"Street Couture" By Yoyo Barrientos | Estilo Moda '17

Yoyo Barrientos steps out his comfort zone (so to speak) to bring us, "Prêt à Porter", AKA, Ready to wear fashion. Barrientos has been sauntering around the idea of Prêt à porter for a while now, the designer, who has already made a name for himself in Honduran fashion and specially in couture design, is now stepping into a more youthful and expansive marked. Yoyo as people call him lovingly, is now betting on a couture-ish appeal into a more day to day, wearable fashion.

"Blue Coral" By Gian Padilla | Estilo Moda '17

You know I'm not a colorful person, not when it comes to fashion or other wise, but I acknowledge great work and artistry, and that is exactly what will be happening during this post. I First saw Gian during Fashion Week Honduras 2016, back when I was also doing photography. For that event I was selected as one of the official photographers (ah, good times), it was back then that I came to know and like this designer. With a unique and remarkable aesthetic, Gian gives us her take on fashion design, and her work is truly something noteworthy. Last year during Estilo Moda '17 she proved this statement and left a very notable mark on the map of Honduran fashion.

#OOTD "Oversized Is The New Black" Pt 2

First look of the year!  Although this look was shot in 2017, it still plays with big resonance in the fashion archives, perhaps even more now. Like I said on the previous post, I'm still catching up on 2017, and I have so much content to post and share with you all. I have been otherwise occupied lately, but not to worry, new posts are coming soon, so stay tuned. In the mean time, let's talk about one of my favorite trends for this year, 2018: "Oversized"

SS '18 By Mary Ann Kafati | Estilo Moda '17

Mary Ann Kafati is one to deliver, and during Estilo Moda '17, she did not disappoint. A collection I was personally looking forward to, since a small chat I had with the designer during the opening cocktail event for Estilo Moda, and of course, because she is, no doubt, and shamelessly one of my favorite Honduran designers, and just because I really look forward to see her work. This collection was in full "bloom"; kafati, metaphorically, hand picked her best blossoms from the gardens of her mind and turned them into stylish master pieces. A collection with an asian infuse from my point of view, that may not be so obvious to some, but definitely not overlooked. The fabrics used were silky, satined and printed with what resembled cherry blossoms petals in both pink and blue tones. Not only the textures from the fabrics, but, also the classic cuts, the use of contemporary kimonos, tailored with sporty details that gave them a modern appeal.
